Susan is a credentialed elementary school teacher with post graduate studies in developmental education. She has
over 20 years of experience working as a vision therapist. Susan is our senior vision therapist in charge of training and
supervising the therapists, developing and coordinating therapy programs, and overseeing that the therapy department
meets the goals of our patients. Her dedication and passion for helping patients with vision related difficulties inspires
her commitment for all to succeed.
Megan is a recent graduate of Sonoma State University. She started at NBVC in August of 2022 as an optical assistant
where she currently assists with patient care. In January of 2024, she began pursuing continuing education courses in
Vision Therapy. Megan assists the therapy department with scheduling, evaluations, planning and executing sessions,
and progress reports. She loves working with patients of all ages and hopes to continue in this field.
Susan and Megan are both accepting new patients, schedule-dependent. While a patient will work primarily with one or
the other, they regularly collaborate with each other about all patients to ensure they are receiving the best possible
therapy. Patients will receive progress evaluations from Dr. Bruns or Dr. Kong periodically throughout therapy to provide
measurable data and direct next steps.
